Pilate’s has both a warm up and a cooling off routine in all of their excesses. I think if you go with this first, it will prepare your body and muscles for cardio. You wont damage your muscles as long as you make sure to warm up. That part is a must.

Aerobics, it’s more strenuous!
Besides by the time your done with your aerobics your muscles will already be warmed up and you can work much better when you do your pilates.
Also, to avoid sore muscles you should stretch! Warm up your muscles and stretch, it’ll save you lots of pain in the morning.

Hello Niksta11. Pilates contributes to strengthening your core muscles! Major muscle groups like the Quadriceps, the core muscles of the trunk, and shoulders. Cardio will help to burn fat throughout the body. There is NO such thing as ’spot training’! I.E. you can NOT lose your ‘gut’ by doing a thousand situps a day!
I’d reccomend you speak to a trainer at your gym! They are there for this reason and shouldn’t steer you wrong.
Good luck in your fitness endeavors!
